Plandroid 2.0.0.0 is now released - a major upgrade to the software, supporting joining parts with snap-to, and adding your own images to the design.

A major release of Plandroid - version 2.0.0.0 is now available for download.

The latest version offers an exciting range of new features:

New in this version:

Parts that match can connect with snap-to!

• Editing and validating your design is now easier than ever with snap-to!
• Connected parts can all be moved together
• Parts that will snap together glow green
• Holding down Ctrl overrides snap-to
• An upgraded catalog is required to support snap-to - new catalogs supporting this functionality will be released in the Catalogs Download section as they become available

• A draw bulkhead tool
• An insert image tool - your own images can be inserted, rotated, scaled and flipped

• A show compass button - the compass can be rotated to show North

• Labels can now be positioned relative to their parts
• You can automatically print a page border around your design
• Doors can be duplicated, and flipped with the flip tools
• Wall locations can be entered manually
• Notes can be edited and rotated, and they can be pasted from copied text
• Running costs for your design can be shown
• Updates can be installed directly over the top of any existing version
• Automatic updates are now supported
• Plus many other new features and enhancements

You can download either a 32-bit version or a 64-bit version from the Download page.

The new installer means that you can simply download the upgrade and install it over the top of any existing version.

I use "Refrigeration & Air Conditioning" by Stoecker and Jones, McGraw-Hill publishers, ISBN 07-Y66591-5, which is good if you can get hold of it.
